About Our Community
The Village at Pilot Mill is an infill neighborhood of single family homes located in Downtown Raleigh. Located just north of Peace Street and behind Peace College, the community has been a keystone project over the past years in bringing residents back Downtown.
Built on the site of the original mill houses for the Historic Pilot Mill building, the neighborhood was designed with small lots, alley ways, and sidewalks to encourage a strong community.
The neighborhood has 103 homes ranging in size from about 1600 to 3000 plus square feet - all have two car garages and community maintained mowing and irrigation system for a lower maintenance lifestyle.

Come downtown to enjoy skating on the natural ice at Winterfest—a family-friendly celebration of fun-filled activities at the AT&T Raleigh Winterfest Ice Rink featuring Sledding Sundays, Two for One Tuesdays, Live Music Wednesdays, Thursday Morning Stroller Skate, Date and Skate Thursdays and Rock Around the Rink Fridays. Paperless Communications from the HOA (Kohn-Ell)
In 2010, our community spent almost $2,500 on postage and mailing of HOA materials (Quaterly dues billing, Meeting Notices, and other required notifications). We reduced that amount in 2011 by over $1,000 by getting 75% of the community to participate in paperless communications. R-Line - Free Downtown Transportation
Experience the R-LINE, an eco-friendly approach to urban transportation. This FREE circulator service features hybrid electric buses that will connect you to restaurants, retail, entertainment venues, museums, hotels, and parking facilities in downtown Raleigh. Buses run every 10-15 minutes. The closest stop to our community is at the corner of Peace and Halifax in front of Sunflowers. Click Here for more information.
